This June 30, 2010 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA) GOES satelite image shows Hurricane Alex(L). Alex, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season, slammed into northeastern Mexico Thursday, disrupting oil spill clean-up operations in the Gulf of Mexico before weakening over land.
