FILE-ARGENTINA-VIDELA-TRIAL
(FILE) Former Argentine dicator (1976-81) Jorge Rafael Videla (L) arrives at a Buenos Aires courthouse 10 July, 2001. Videla will be tried as from July 2, 2010 in Cordoba, Argentina, for the shooting of 32 political prisoners in 1976. This is the first time that Videla goes on trail since 1985 when he was given a life sentence --which only lasted five years, since in 1990 the then President Carlos Menem (1989-1999) granted pardon to both junta members Videla and Admiral Eduardo Massera.
