ARGENTINA-HHRR-VIDELA-MENENDEZ-TRIAL
Former Argentine dictator (1976-81) Jorge Rafael Videla (L) and former Army Commander Luciano Benjamin Menendez (2nd L) sit on court on July 2, 2010 in Cordoba, Argentina, during the trial for the shooting of 32 political prisoners in 1976. This is the first time that Videla goes on trail since 1985 when he was given a life sentence --which only lasted five years, as in 1990 the then President Carlos Menem (1989-1999) granted pardon to both junta members Videla and Admiral Eduardo Massera.
