INDONESIA-ENVIRONMENT-WETLAND
An aerial photograph taken on July 6, 2010 shows part of a wetland forest at the Danau Sentarum National Park in West Kalimantan on Indonesian Borneo island. The rich ecological biodiversity of Indonesia's premier wetland is under threat from increasingly habitat destruction and uncontrolled harvest. The lakes that are habitats for fish fauna and mammals including endangered orangutans support a large traditional fishing industry, however vast agro-industrial plantations of oil palms have developed close the national park.
