ITALY-CRIME-MAFIA-ARREST
A grab from a video released on July 14, 2010 by Italian Carabinieri show Ndrangheta mafia boss Domenico Oppedisano (L) and other unknow people meeting at the Polsi sanctuary in Calabria, southern Italy. Italian police dealt a major blow to the country's most powerful mafia clan, arresting on July 13 the top boss of the 'Ndrangheta syndicate, Oppedisano, and more than 300 other suspected members. In recent decades, the 'Ndrangheta has become the largest and most feared of Italy's four large organized crime syndicates, which include Sicily's Cosa Nostra, the Camorra in the area of Naples and the smaller Sacra Corona Unita in the southeastern region of Puglia.
