Visitors to Sydney's Powerhouse Museum watch a performance of the Strasburg Clock Model on July 22, 2010 which was built by Sydney clockmaker Richard B Smith based on the famous astronomical clock in France's Strasbourg Cathedral. The model went on display in 1890 at the Powerhouse Museum (formerly known as the Technological Museum), with clockmaker Smith who strangely never visited Strasbourg, claiming to have based his design for the model on a postcard and a book.
