FILES-CHILE-QUAKE
(FILES)Rescue workers look for victims into a wrecked building in Concepcion, Chile in this February 28, 2010 file photo, a day after a huge 8.8-magnitude earthquake rocked the country early morning, killing at least 708 people. The powerful quake that jolted Chile in February released most of the stress that has accumulated for nearly 200 years along a fault where two tectonic plates collide, making another huge quake in the same region unlikely, a study said July 29, 2010. Researchers from Chile, France and Germany, led by University of Chile geologist Marcelo Farias, came to that relieving conclusion after measuring how much the land had risen or fallen at 24 sites along Chile's coast and in nine inland estuaries.
