TO GO WITH AFP STORY "VIETNAM-FRANCE-CULTURE" BY AUDE GENET
The facade of the house of Huynh Thuy Le, the leading character in the French novel and movie “L’Amant” (The Lover), written by Marguerite Duras, is pictured from inside in the town of Sadec, in the southern province of Dong Thap on July 10, 2010. A tour named “Following in the footprints of The Lover” is taking tourists to the house of Huynh Thuy Le. The tour which attracts many tourists, give an insight into the origionally wood house that was built in 1885 and subsequently restored by brick in 1917.
