FRANCE-SOCIETY-MINORITY-GOVERNMENT-ROMA
People, who belong to the Roma community, gather in front of the French southern city of Saint-Etienne's city hall on August 6, 2010, after they were expelled from the camp in which they lived illegally since May. This is the first eviction after French president Nicolas Sarkozy annouced on July 28 that 300 illegal camps will be dismantled within three months. There are around 400,000 Gypsies and other travelling people in France, and 95 percent of them have French citizenship. AFP PHOTO JEAN-PHILIPPE KSIAZEK
