SPAIN-IMMIGRATION-POLICE
Policemen perform a x-ray scan on a truck during a Frontex (European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union) coordinated joint operation which takes place in the ports of Algeciras, Ceuta and Tarifa on August 17, 2010, in Algeciras. The focus of the operation is to tighten control measures and increase the extend of border checks of people arriving on passenger ferries and vehicles (or hidden in trucks). 11 EU countries take part in it: Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
