A pair of steel boots used by the late singer Michael Jackson that is part of an exhibition titled "How the West Was Worn by....Michael Jackson" at the Autry National Center of the American West, in Los Angeles on August 17, 2010. The boots are from the collection of former Jackson designers, Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush and reflect the way that Jackson used classical Cowboy and Western styles and influences in his stage costumes. The Museum of the American West was established in 1988 by legendary recording and movie star Gene Autry to explore and share the comprehensive story of the American West and it's multiple cultures, perspectives, traditions, and experiences, that make the West a significant and unique part of the world.
