ICOAST-ENVIRONMENT-POLLUTION-TOXIC WASTE
The National Association of Toxic Waste Victims of Abidjan commemorates the fourth anniversary of the dumping of toxic waste by the cargoship, the Probo Koala, on August 21, 2010 in Abidjan. The banner reads "Four years ago, the Probo Koala killed Abidjan. Never again in the Ivory Coast, in Africa, nor the world." The dumping caused the death of 17 people and thousands suffered the effects of poisoning.
