AFRICA-FARM-AGRICULTURE-GHANA
(From L) Kofi Annan, Chairman of the African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) and former Secretary General of the United Nations, John Mahama, vice President of Ghana and Mizengo Pinda Prime Minister of Tanzania, Olusegun Obasanjo former President of Nigeria, Judith Rodin President of Rockefeller foundation, Sylvia Mathews Burwell, President of the Global Development Program of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Kanayo Nwaze President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development and Namanga Ngongi President of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa take part in the AGRF on September 2, 2010 at the Accra international conference center in Ghana. The AGRF, taking place for the first time in Africa, builds on meetings held in previous years in Oslo, Norway, at which governments and private sector companies agreed to energise an agricultural revolution through better policy and new catalytic private sector investment.
