JORDAN-US-ARCHAEOLOGY
An undated handout picture obtained from the Jordanian antiquities department on September 13, 2010 shows an ancient ceramic, one of 300 artefacts found in a 3,000-year-old Iron Age temple dating back to the country's biblical Moabite kingdom, which was recently discovered by Jordanian and US archaeologists in Khirbat 'Ataruz, near the town of Madaba southwest of the Jordanian capital Amman. A statement released by the antiquities department on September 2 said objects related to several ancient cults were discovered at the temple, which dates back to the period between 1200 BC and 539 BC.
