SWITZERLAND-ISRAEL-CONFLICT-GAZA-UN-RIGHTS-FLOTILLA
Fact-finding mission chairman Karl Hudson-Phillips (L) gestures next to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navy Pillay after his presented his report on the attack of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla before the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council on September 27, 2010 at the UN Office in Geneva. Israel came under pressure at the UN Human Rights Council to apologise for the storming of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla after a probe found that there was evidence to back prosecutions over the fatal incident. In May, Israeli forces intercepted a six-ship flotilla heading for Gaza but the raid went badly wrong and nine Turkish activists -- including one with US citizenship -- were killed, prompting a wave of international condemnation.
