TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY FRANCOISE KADRI
The president of Slow Food, Carlo Petrini, smiles during an interview in Rome on September 23, 2010. For more than two decades, Petrini has been gently nudging the world toward "good, clean and fair" food, signing up 100,000 people in 163 countries to his Slow Food movement. Slow Food, whose symbol is a red snail, promotes food that is "good at a sensory level," but also aims to educate people about traditional and wholesome means of production and defend biodiversity in the food supply.
