BELGIUM-DE NUL-HOSTAGE-CAMEROON
CEO Dirk De Nul of Jan De Nul Group attends a press conference on October 1, 2010 on the liberation of two Belgian sailors taken hostage from a ship by an armed gang off the Cameroon Coast. An obscure militant group, the Africa Marine Commando, has claimed to be holding six people seized around Cameroon's port city of Douala in neighbouring Nigeria, a Cameroonian source said on September 29. A group of men armed with rocket launchers kidnapped a Croatian and a Filipino working on a Begian-owned dredger clearing the channel in the port of Cameroon's economic hub on the night of September 12.
