FILES-NZEALAND-JAPAN-WHALING
HANDOUT RESTRICTED TO EDITORIAL USE AND EDITORIAL SALES -- MANDATORY CREDIT "AFP PHOTO / HO / Sea Shepherd Conservation Society / Barbara Veiga"
(FILES) This undated handout file photo released by Sea Shepherd Conservation Society on February 16, 2010 shows New Zealand's Pete Bethune, captain of the futuristic "Ady Gil" powerboat which was smashed in two on January 6, 2010 after a collision with a Japanese whaling security ship, at sea in Antarctic waters. Bethune, a former Sea Shepherd activist, on October 7 accused the militant conservation group of deliberately sinking the hi-tech trimaran the Ady Gil as a publicity stunt after the collision with a Japanese whaler. Sea Shepherd denied the allegations, saying Bethune was bitter over his falling out with the organisation. AFP PHOTO / HO / Sea Shepherd Conservation Society / Barbara Veiga
