Team manager Intikhab Alam on October 27 dispelled the impression that stricter steps taken to improve players' discipline were disturbing them, saying they were for the betterment of Pakistan cricket. Pakistan last week introduced a new code of conduct with stricter punishments for discipline breaches, which Alam said were needed in the wake of the England tour rocked by spot-fixing allegations against the team.
