A Maasai waits to cast her vote on October 31, 2010 near Arusha during Tanzania's presidential and parliamentary elections.Tanzanian polls, expected to hand incumbent president Jakaya Kikwete a final term began smoothly, but voters at some centres on the mainland and in Zanzibar complained of irregularities including misallocated ballot papers and missing names from the voters' list. Kikwete, who has pledged to improve education, health and infrastructure, has predicted victory over his five rivals, some of whom have criticised him for failing to tackle rampant poverty and corruption.
