BULGARIA-SYRIA-ASSAD
Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov (R) and his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad review an honor guard on November 9, 2010 during an official welcoming ceremony in Sofia. It is the first visit to Bulgaria by a Syrian leader in 24 years. Assad arrived from Cyprus and will travel on to Romania as part of a tour to develop relations with Europe.
