BELGIUM-EU-CULTURE-YOUTH
EU commissioner for Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes (L) and EU commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliou talk prior to an Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council meeting on November 18, 2010 at the EU headquarters in Brussels. The Council is expected to designate today the Belgian city of Mons as European Capital of Culture for 2015. Ministers will also discuss progress achieved regarding the creation of an European heritage label intended to enhance the profile of sites which have played a significant role in the history and culture of Europe.
