PERU-INTEROCEANIC-ROAD-CONTINENTAL-BRIDGE
A part of the Continental Bridge (ex Guillermo Billinghurst Bridge) is prepared to be lifted, in the Madre de Dios river, on November 10, 2010, near Puerto Maldonado, province of Madre de Dios. The project to build this 722-meter, 2,500 ton hanging bridge, dormant for 30 years, will be completed on 2011 to join the city of Puerto Maldonado, 2,200 km southeast of Lima, to the southern section of the Inter-Oceanic road, a 4,500 km stretch which links Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
