FILES-FRANCE-EU-ECHR-MOULIN

(FILES) File picture taken on October 23, 2006 of Toulouse's lawyer France Moulin waiting in court for the opening of her trial with colleague Michel Dublanche, on suspicion of breaching the confidentiality of a drug trafficking investigation. The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) took the view on November 23, 2010 that "owing to their status, public prosecutors in France did not satisfy the requirement of independence from the executive" agreeing with applicant Moulin who was kept in police custody for five days after being arrested on the basis of instructions issued in connection with a prosecution for drug trafficking.
