FILES-UN-CLIMATE-WARMING-BANGLADESH

(FILES) A file photo taken on May 13, 2010 shows a Bangladeshi woman standing outside her house in Gabura, the southern part of Bangladesh after cyclone Aila slammed into the area on May 26, 2009. In November 2010, Bangladesh became one of the first three countries to tap into a pilot climate change fund which is funnelling millions of dollars to help places cope with and adapt to climate change. The terrible human cost of cyclones and flooding are plain to see in southwest Bangladesh, a low-lying, impoverished region on the frontline of the battle to adapt to climate change.
