TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY ISABEL MALSANG
Iraqi director Mohamed al-Daradji, a member of the international jury as well as a guest of honor of the 51st Thessaloniki International Film Festival, poses on December 12, 2010 in Thessaloniki. With a retrospective of Al-Daradji's films and "Mandoo" by Iraqi Kurd director Ebrahim Saeedi in competition at the festival, which ends on December 12, Iraqi cinema has shown it is experiencing a renaissance and a new life.
