France's driver Stephane Peterhansel steers his BMW with co-driver Jean-paul Cottret on January 9, 2011 on the stage 7 Arica-Atacama of the 2011 Dakar Rally, in Chile. Qatar's Nasser Al-Attiyah halved Volkswagen teammate Carlos Sainz's overall Dakar Rally lead on Sunday with a seventh stage win to pave the way for a potential repeat of last year's bad-tempered finale to the event.
