Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen (R) signs the request for Dissolution of the Dail (Irish Parliament) with Irish President Mary NcAleese (L) at the Aras an Uachtarain (Presidents house) in Dublin, on February 1, 2011. President Mary McAleese has dissolved the 30th D‡il, and the Government has set Friday 25 February as the date for the General Election.
