FRANCE-IRAN-CINEMA-PANAHI
Iranian graphic novellist Marjane Satrapi poses upon arrival to attend a filmmakers, writers and artists gathering February 1, 2011 at the Paris cinema La Pagode, in support of Iranian film director Jafar Panahi who was convicted last december of "propaganda against the system" for making a film about unrest after the disputed re-election of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in June 2009. Ahmadinejad's chief of staff said last month that the government opposed the sentence on Panahi of six years in jail and a 20-year film-making ban, saying it had been a decision by the judiciary.
