BELGIUM-ASYLUM-SEEKERS-DEMONSTRATION
Refugees gather outside after being evacuated from a fire inside an asylum centre in Steenokkerzeel, Belgium, a Flemish municipality about 20 km northeast of Brussels, on February 20, 2011. The fire was started in a room at the centre during a demonstration against physical and psychological abuse of asylum seekers. Refugees in the centre have staged a hunger strike since last Wednesday. The protest of solidarity was initiated by Stemmen Zonder Grenzen, (Voix Sans Frontieres), or Voices Without Borders.
