CHILE-MAPUCHES-ACQUITTAL-DEMONSTRATION
A Mapuche celebrates inside the Justice Court, after 17 Mapuches were acquitted on terrorist illicit association, in the locality of Canete, near Concepcion, 500 km south of Santiago, on February 22, 2011. The decision was taken by the Chilean justice on the grounds of lack of evidence on the attack to a district attorney and starting fires in 2008. Only four of them were punished on common crimes.
