ARGENTINA-HUMAN RIGHTS-BIGNONE-VIDELA-MAGNACCO-FRANCO-TRIAL
Former Argentine general and last dictator (1982-83) Reinaldo Bignone (L), former Argentine general and dictator (1976-81) Jorge Rafael Videla (2-L), doctor to the Navy School of Mechanics (ESMA) Jose Luis Magnacco (2-R) and former Argentine Navy officer Ruben Franco, attend the beginning of their trial in Buenos Aires on February 28, 2010, for the kidnapping of 34 babies born in captivity. Videla, along with dictator Reynaldo Bignone and other accused will be tried in Argentina as from February 28, 2011, for the systematic robbery of children during the dictatorship (1976-83) --many of them born at the ESMA illegal detention centre.
