SRI LANKA-LIBYA-PROTEST
Sri Lankans hold placards showing US President Barack Obama during a protest led by National Freedom Front outside the United Nations office in Colombo on March 24, 2011 against the western allies airstrikes on Libya. Sri Lanka's foreign minister Gamini Lakshman Peiris told parliament on March 23, 2011, that the island does not approve or encourage the air strike on Libya. Coalition forces are acting under UN Security Council Resolution 1973 authorising "all necessary means" to protect civilians fighting to topple Kadhafi, including enforcing a no-fly zone.
