A member of the US Border Patrol searches for illegal inmigrants in El Paso, Texas, on April 6, 2011 as security in the border with Mexico has been tightened due to the soaring drug-related violence over control of lucrative drug smuggling routes into the United States between between the Zetas -- a ruthless cartel run by former Mexican anti-drug commandos -- and their former employers, the Gulf Cartel.
