Grand Isle Mayor David Camardelle takes time for a portrait at Sarah's Restaurant in Grand Isle, LA, March 9, 2011. As the BP oil spill nears it's one-year anniversary, the economic impact for residents is still profound as owner Sarah Rigaud, 76, is still waiting for the remainder of the she says she is owed from BP. Mrs. Rigaud says she received two checks totaling $10,000.00 three or four weeks after the spill, and has not heard from BP since then. The restaurant serves seafood with shrimp caught locally.
