Blind civil servant Abdu, married to two wives and father of nine children is among hundreds of people in northern Nigeria southern Kaduna displaced following the violence that erupted shortly President Goodluck Jonathan declared as president elect. Nigeria has wrapped up a landmark election season, but thousands remain displaced by post-poll riots, living in increasingly squalid conditions and shaken by narrow escapes from armed mobs. Camps for the displaced have sprung up at military and police barracks across northern Nigeria.
