White House Press Secretary Jay Carney answers a question during a press briefing at the White House in Washington on May 9, 2011. the US said that it would not "apologize" for launching a raid to kill al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden on Pakistani soil, after the Islamabad government complained about US "unilateralism." Carney said Washington took Pakistani complaints seriously but added: "we also do not apologize for the action that this president took."
