FRANCE-AFGHANISTAN-HOSTAGES
Journalists of Press Club of Marseille have written 500 with candles during a demonstration in support to French journalists Stephane Taponier and Herve Guesquiere, abducted and held in Afghanistan, on May 12, 2011 in front of Marseille's Notre-Dame-de la Garde Basilica, to mark the 500 days of their abduction. Reporter Taponier and cameraman Herve Ghesquiere, who both work for France 3 television, were seized along with three Afghan colleagues on December 30 2009 in an area northeast of Kabul rife with anti-government insurgents.
