FRANCE-AFGHANISTAN-HOSTAGES-DEMO
French Culture minister Frederic Mitterrand takes part in a demonstration, on May 13, 2011 in front of France Televisions headquarters in Paris, on the 500th abduction's day of French journalists Stephane Taponier (poster, L) and Herve Ghesquiere (poster R), abducted and held in Afghanistan. The two journalists, who both work for France 3 television, were seized along with three Afghan colleagues on December 30 2009 in an area northeast of Kabul rife with anti-government insurgents.
