FRANCE-WEATHER-DROUGHT-RIVER
A barge travels on the Rhine river partially exposed by lowered water levels because of drought in Seltz, Alsace, eastern France, on May 24, 2011. Barges travelling along the waterway have had to half their freight, including fuel due to the low level of the Rhine. 44 of France's 95 departments (administrative districts) have imposed water restrictions on part or all of their territory due to drought.
