ICOAST-POLITICS-UNREST-FILES
(FILES) A file photo taken on December 16, 2010 in Abidjan shows supporter of then presidential candidate Alassane Ouattara standing next to the bodies of two men reportedly killed by Ivorian police and army forces loyal to incumbent Laurent Gbagbo. The UN mission in Ivory Coast announced on May 26, 2011 that at least 1,000 people were killed in western Ivory Coast during the five-month crisis that followed the disputed presidential election. The west African country was wracked by violence after Gbagbo, who was in power for 10 years, refused to acknowledge in November 2010 that he had lost a presidential election to Ouattara.
