Homer Hobi, 65, of San Francisco, CA, speaks on May 27, 2011 and was diagnosed with HIV in 1994. After several years of suffering with side effects from early-generation HIV medications, Hobi says his health is pretty good these days. Hobi got his real estate license in December 2010 and is involved with an organization called RAMP which collects unused HIV medicine and delivers them to organizations overseas. Although he is generally healthy, Hobi says he pays close attention to his body. "HIV accelerates the progress of other diseases," he says. "You have to really monitor your health."
