GERMANY-CONCEPTUAL-ART-ENVIRONMENT
Conceptual artist Frank Boelter (L) sits in a paper boat made of tetra pak liquid food packages on June 13, 2011 in Leipzig, eastern Germany. By putting the nine-meter long ship on the Karl-Heine canal, organisers of the action wanted to plead for the renaturation of urban fluvial topography. According to the artist, the material of the ship shall symbolise the end of the Industrial Age and criticise the throw-away mentality. The ship was scuttled at the end of the action.
