ROMANIA-FRANCE–ART–SCULPTURE
Romanian writer Laurian Stanchescu prepares to depart on foot from the western Romanian town of Timisoara on July 4, 2011, to reach Paris by foot in order to ask French authorities to allow the remains of famous sculptor Constantin Brancusi to be brought back to Romania. Romanian born Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) died in Paris in 1957 and is buried in the Montparnasse cemetery. He had settled in Paris in 1904 where he became friends with artists like Picasso, Modigliani or Apollinaire. He AFP PHOTO /Adrian PICLISAN
