(FILES) In a file picture taken on August 8, 2011 a beached humpback whale calf lies in front of the Surfers Paradise skyscrapers before rescuers dragged it back into the surf. A baby humpback whale which was rescued after beaching off Australia's east coast this week will be put down after failing to find its mother and stranding itself again. The one-week old calf was found on Moreton Island on August 10, 2011, two days after it was dragged back out to sea by rescuers at Surfers Paradise beach on the Gold Coast.
