DENMARK-PREGNANCY-ART
Danish artist Thomas Christoffersen uses Sidsel Gronvald's pregnant stomach as a canvas during a photo exhibition on August 12, 2011, in the Round Tower of Copenhagen. Twenty artists used twenty pregnant women's bellies in a project to support Maternity Worldwide, a maternal health organisation. Art photographers Marie Wengler, Marte Holten and Karoline Tira Liberkind will later exhibit the pictures of the painted stomachs at Gallery Copenhagen Art. Revenues from photo sales will be donated to the organisation Maternity Worldwide, whose purpose is to save the lives of women and children during pregnancy and childbirth in Ethiopia.
