MGM Resorts International on Monday submitted a plan to Clark County, Nevada officials to demolish the never-opened building within six months with four months of cleanup, citing construction defects including a recent report from a structural engineer that the tower could collapse in an earthquake. The Harmon was intended to be a luxury hotel and condominium part of the USD 8.5 billion CityCenter development that opened in December 2009, as a joint project between MGM and Dubai World.
