The chasing bird helicopter from the Medevac of the 159th Brigade Task Force Thunder passes a tattered Afghan flag at a Forward Operating Base (FOB) west of Kandahar on August 26, 2011. There are around 140,000 foreign troops in Afghanistan helping Afghan forces to fight a ten-year Taliban-led insurgency.
