USA-SEMA CAR PARTS SHOW-FILES
(FILES) This November 4, 2010 file photo shows attendees visiting the General Motors booth reflected in the rear chrome of a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze on display at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada. General Motors on September 1, 2011 reported an 18 percent jump in its US auto sales in August despite recent market turmoil, and expressed cautious optimism about the state of the US economy. "Our balanced portfolio of trucks and fuel-efficient vehicles like the Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain are helping GM continue to gain market share, which has now increased in seven of the past eight months," Don Johnson, vice president for US sales, said in a statement.
