SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO-HOLKERRI-PAVLE
The head of UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Harri Holkerri (R) shakes hands with the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Pavle in Pec. Holkeri today sent Christmas greetings to all Serbian Orthodox Christians in the province. In the message, forwarded to Serbian state news agency Tanjug, Holkeri praised Orthodox Christians in the province for their courage and perseverance, adding that the UN mission was aware that the conditions under which many Kosovars live are still unacceptable. "We have reached the consensus that, in order for Kosovo to be a comfortable home for the majority of its population it must become a safe and dignified home for all people", said Holkerri.
